A big part of the reason why I created this site was to share information about military medicine, the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP), and the military residency match. When I was an undergraduate thinking about HPSP, and a medical student receiving HPSP funding, I often had a hard time finding the information that I needed, and even more trouble finding ways to pass the information on to others who were in the same situation. I imagined this site growing into a resource for other students who were having a hard time finding information about what to expect and how to prepare for a career in military medicine. Since the site started, it has grown quite a bit and I am continuing to add information that I wish I had had when I was an undergraduate, a medical student, and a new resident. I hope it will continue to grow, and I look forward to hearing from any of you who have read it!
