Firecracker is a subscription-based online system of review articles and practice questions. They use spaced repetition to help you remember what you study. For me, it was a great way to learn and a great way to keep from forgetting everything about pediatrics when I moved on to psychiatry. Click here to visit the Firecracker home page For my DO colleagues, there is also a DO version to help you prepare for COMLEX.

USMLE World (a.k.a. “UWorld”)

USMLE World is definitely an old stand by, and I wouldn’t recommend trying to study for Step 2 without it. I hope to write a full post soon about how to make the best use of this resource to study both for your clerkships and for Step 2. Get a group together from your school and you can get a group discount.
